It is produced from 100% Organic Mardin Native Almond and real sugar without any additives from the thin sugar layer. The sugar-coated form of healthy and delicious fresh almonds revives our childhood memories. It is a type of snack that is consumed very often in Mardin. Mardin almond candy, which is generally produced in blue, has started to be produced in different colors today. The blue color is not produced with a chemical coloring, but from the dye obtained from the roots of the natural Lahore tree. Its production is much more difficult than normal Almond Confectionery.

After passing through special sieves of 12 mm and ensuring that their dimensions are equal, the roasting process is started in special copper pans and slowly sherbet is made. Sherbet process is actually one of the most difficult parts of Mardin Almond Candy. It is cooked in the pan by turning it continuously and a syrup is poured for 2-3 minutes. This process is repeated about 45-50 times. After cooling, it is ready to serve. That fascinating taste comes from here and it is the taste that those who try it cannot give up.

Almond Candy was first produced in the 17th century. It was served in various celebrations and on special occasions such as holidays. Almond Candy unique to the Mardin region, also known as İmlebbes, received the Geographical Indication Registration in 2009. It is produced by roasting the plants without adding any chemicals and giving color to organic almonds. Today, it has started to be produced in different colors other than blue. Lebbes, named Imlebbes, is derived from the Arabic word Libas, which means covered.
